To: Currently Employed Participants of the Singing River Health System Employees’ Retirement Plan and Trust

Dear Plan Participant,

Last year the Plan offered a window of time for participants still currently employed to make a one-time election to receive a return of their own contributions to the plan instead of a monthly benefit at retirement.
We are currently making that option available again to anyone who still wishes to make that election.

This is a personal decision that frequently results in a loss of value to your retirement benefit so please consider all of the implications if you are contemplating this option. But it is available to you again if you so choose.

We will not be mailing out new statements. Please refer to the statement you received last year. Contact us if you need a copy of that statement. You can also contact us for a new election forms packet.

Please make sure that you carefully read all of the information included in your packet, and seek the advice of a trusted financial advisor before making decisions of any kind. You can return your forms by mail or you can bring them to Robyn Hunt and she will forward them on for processing.

Please allow 3-4 weeks for election forms to be processed and funds to be received.

I plan to visit in person again in November. At that time, I will have a report to share with you about the status of the Plan as of October 1, 2019.

Even now, there is still a lot of misleading and incorrect information floating around on social media about the Plan and who is doing what. I encourage you to read my reports to the Court and my letters here. Reading my monthly reports to Judge Bell and my letters here is the best way to stay up to date with accurate information.
